Joanna Wullschleger — Life Insurance Beneficiary

After attending a reception announcing the new Legacy Society, Joanna was so happy to learn of a way to demonstrate her gratitude for having New West Symphony in her life. She immediately expressed a desire to join, called her pension administrator to change her life insurance beneficiary and sent in her paperwork to New West Symphony.

In her words, "I loved being season ticket holders with my husband years ago and the excitement of the Symphony led by Boris Brott. Now, in my later years, I enjoy what Michael Christie is doing for our community. It is simply amazing. I get to experience performances that are in my own backyard at a time of day that is perfect for me after church. I am so thankful New West Symphony came to Camarillo. The quality of the concerts and all that goes into the planning while keeping it affordable is truly remarkable."

Joanna recalls fondly her earliest memories, taking her granddaughters to the Nutcracker as a family tradition each year. "We remain so fortunate to have New West Symphony as our professional orchestra and treasured cultural resource. It's important to preserve and sustain it for future generations. I realize each person's situation is different. In my case, my granddaughters will be well taken care of after I am gone. My life insurance policy will mean more to the New West Symphony than to them and it brings me joy to know I can help in this way."

Joanna continues to attend concerts whenever she can, enjoying her favorite seats in the Orchestra section. She hopes others will consider joining her and other legacy members to share in the benefits of pledging a living legacy now while knowing that their generosity will cultivate a love of music and family traditions for lifetimes to come.
